Volunteer at Events or the Museum

The Cheyenne Depot Museum offers a wide variety of volunteer opportunities throughout the year. Below are just a few.

Events:

Plaza Beer Pouring

This is a great team building experience for your employees and allows them to be seen in the community. This is an opportunity to advertise in front of thousands of people and let the public meet the faces of your business. Click Here to Email the Depot about your interest to get involved!

Wyoming Brewers Festival

The Wyoming Brewers Festival cannot happen without the hard work from our Volunteers. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer for this year's festival, please fill out the application below. Keep in mind, all volunteers must sign up for setup or tear down duties for the festival. Also, all volunteers must attend the training prior to the event. Depending on what you are volunteering for, will determine the type of training. All of our volunteers and committee members are to be TIPS trained. The TIPS program trains servers, sellers, and consumers of alcohol on how to prevent intoxication, drunk driving, and underage drinking. The City of Cheyenne requires all servers of alcohol beverages to be TIPS trained and we welcome that requirement. All volunteers must be at least 21 years of age. Click here to sign up!

All events are a  juried show.  Vendor contracts are available at the Cheyenne Depot Museum office. Spaces are limited and fill up quickly! Once full, a waiting list will be established. Sellers are responsible for all taxes.

Please note if you are a previous vendor of CFD you have until April 15, to confirm your space with the Events and Marketing Director or it is opened up to all vendors.

Model Railroad Engineer

The Union Central & Northern is operated and maintained by a group of dedicated volunteers. If you've got skills or an interest to learn we would love to have you join.

Docents

Docents are our tour guides. They escort small groups through the lobby and museum, sharing the history of the Depot and answering questions. The tour takes approximately 45 minutes. The docents will be trained prior to their first tour and a manual will be provided.

Special Projects

Volunteers help to plan, prepare, and carry out special projects. We would love to work with you to utilize the skills you bring to the Depot Museum!
